Labspace Recently Partners with Innovation Support Network (ISN) Hubs , Signs MOU to Transform SIWES Program, Prepares for Nationwide Rollout in 2025.
Labspace by JD Lab has initiated a groundbreaking program designed to turn SIWES (Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme) participants into highly employable graduates. Recognizing the disparity between academic training and industry requirements, Labspace developed this initiative to equip undergraduates with essential digital skills, soft skills, and work ethics necessary for thriving in today’s competitive job market. The program focuses on providing practical, hands-on experience and real-world industry exposure, ensuring that graduates are prepared not only with theoretical knowledge but with the practical expertise needed for their future careers.
Although the full national rollout of the program was postponed this year to finalize a strategic partnership with the Innovation Support Network (ISN), Labspace continued to deliver the training at its Minna location. This local implementation allowed a select group of students to benefit from the transformative curriculum while Labspace gathered valuable insights and feedback to refine the program further.
Looking ahead to 2025, Labspace is excited to expand the SIWES program nationwide in collaboration with ISN. This partnership will enable the program to reach students across multiple states, helping bridge the skills gap in Nigeria’s workforce. With ISN’s support, Labspace is confident that the program will empower graduates with not only academic knowledge but also the skills and readiness to meet the demands of the modern workplace.
